Use this post to send mail in general to Amaury and his parents!

Amaury Oniyama
Stoic Gryffindor 4th year. Does pretty well in selective subjects (Arithmancy, Potions, Transfiguration,) but does average in others (Care of Magical Creatures, History of Magic, etc.) Mostly, the classes that require a logical thought process as opposed to extensive memorization and impromptu situations, he will do well in it. Be aware that his responses might be very very short and to the point.

Victoria Bloom
Amaury's mother and a former Ravenclaw. At 37 (her birthday is in January,) Victoria's a Muggle geography teacher at a finishing school for boys in Wales, where all the students are slightly frightened of her but still have crushes on her. She and Amaury's father, Aki Oniyama, are divorced and she has dropped her ex-husband's last name when she left Japan.

Aki Oniyama
Amaury's father, a Muggle. Aki is approaching 38 (his birthday is in October) and like his ex-wife, he is also a teacher of English at a public high school in Kyoto. He pretty much is the older version of his son but that doesn't stop him from being popular amongst his students. All letters to Aki are enchanted so that everyone but Aki mistakes them for advertisements.

Amaury's mum Dear Amaury's Dear Mrs Bloom

Dear Mrs Bloom,

Thank you for the package of biscuits. They were quite nice, I shared them with some of the owls in the owlrey, since none of the other boys in my dorm will talk to me right now. They tasted very good, and I enjoyed them a lot, but the owls were wondering if you might not bake chocolate biscuits next time? Or possibly some raspberry tarts?

I've been hanging around with the Axis of a lot of fifth year girls these days, since the other boys in my year have been avoiding me. Believe me, I'm not trying to attract these older girls! They just seem to congregate around me, which is strange and more than slightly disturbing. Don't worry, I'm generally decently behaved around them as long as they don't pick on me.

Oh! Speaking of the fifth year girls, I caught Amaury bumming cigarettes off of one of them today. I don't think he's stopped smoking at all, even though you told him to. I think he's just started doing it when I'm not around so I can't stop him. Or at least that's probably what he tries to do. I am a sneaky person, so he doesn't get away with very much! I'll make sure to keep an extra-keen eye on him from now on, just in case he tries to do it again, but you might send him a letter reminding of the dangers of smoking.

P.S. I enjoy chocolate biscuits and raspberry tarts just as much as the owls (who I would definitely share with if anyone sent me any of either one).

((also posted in my own RP lj, because I'm a completely idiot who forgot about the owl post you made -.-;; ))

Saturday, October 8th.

Dear Mrs. Bloom,

Hello. My name is Lucas Longshore, and, as a good friend of Amaury's, I felt it was my duty to tell you this. I regretfully inform you that your son is still smoking. I'm only telling you this because I am very concerned for Amaury's health, and I would really rather not have a good friend of mine suffer from health complications in the future.

I also fear that his smoking may be directly linked to certain...anger probelms. I once read that prolonged exposure to cigarette smoke would lead to uncontrollable rages, and I'm afraid that Amaury may be victim to these. Why, just the other day he got angry with me for no reason! Since we're such good friends, I immediately became concerned. I hope you've taken the time to read this letter from someone just looking out for your son's health.

Lucas O. Longshore

Cairo, Egypt

Mr Amaury Oniyama,

I apologise for being unable to respond to your owl before I left. I had a fair bit of business to tend to.

I still have not figured out if I should be happy or offended. Either way, thank you.

Something in me tells me that you had a very, very unfair opinion of me, but I suppose that is something I will just have to deal with.

Please let me know how things are going back there. I am worried for some of my mates. I miss them all terribly.

Right now, we are not yet at our new school. If you send an owl to the International Station in Hogsmeade, they can telegram us from there.

We've just been wisked off by a wizard to show us around the wizard parts of Egypt. It's pretty interesting.. we've already met a cursebreaker working for Gringotts. He was.. a lot like Remy. I wonder if that's what Remy will do with himself in the future.

Regardless, I'm ah.. sad to hear I'm not your kind of man? Not sure what to say to that, mate. Also would like clarification on what you mean by 'in different ways' for why you miss having me around.

Surely there are other people around for you to make fun of and generally be cruel to, eh?

If Bastian heads this way, will have to find him to say hello. Sad to think that when I return to Hogwarts in a year, he won't be there.

[Sealed with the Venice House crest and charmed for ‘A. Oniyama’ is a scroll. Written in dark blue ink on a white parchment –]

Amaury Oniyama,

I heard on the choke-vine you know your way around the sharp and pointy. Unfortunately, Hogwarts doesn’t offer sparring fodder for rapier or kendo inclined. We dueling few have to fend for ourselves.

In the spirit of the equipped amity,

Care for a spar?
